Today I decided to mountain bike to Big Meadow near S. Shore Tahoe and take some photos of the aspen trees changing colors. It’s been so long since I took the mountain bike for a spin that I forgot how fun it is. I’ll have to take another MTB trip soon.

I backpacked to the Ten Lakes Basin in Yosemite for the weekend and hooked up with some people from the Nor-Cal hiking club.

The club decided to have a small swap meet before the ride this morning. I purposely got there late thinking I didn’t need to buy anything. I ended up walking away with about $150 worth of stuff for only $15. I scored a pair of road pedals with cleats for my road bike, a pair of SPD pedals for my mountain bike, 3 inner tubes and a chain roller for my recumbent. I was very happy.
